Lorin
Hollander’s career as a concert pianist is also shared
with his performances as a renowned symphonic and choral conductor.
In addition to his work with symphony orchestras worldwide,
Hollander is committed to conducting youth, college and university
orchestras and choruses in rehearsal/explorations and performances
of sacred music. These events explore:
- Nurturing the beauty and humanity in music
- Transforming the notes into an artistic breakthrough of
creative joy
- Mastering a musical instrument for a lifetime of self
fulfillment
- Empowering full self-expression and creative contribution
through conducting as a new model for leadership
Lorin Hollander has specialized in conducting chamber ensembles
and one concert possibility is to program two Bach clavier
concerti conducted from the keyboard with a performance of
Vivaldi’s Gloria for
chorus and chamber orchestra on the second half. This is a
cost effective performance if you require both a guest conductor
and major soloist, here combined into one. The Bach/Vivaldi
concert is a wonderful vehicle for both professional and university
or youth orchestras and is an exciting enhancement to educational
and community residencies. Whether a gala, baroque, standard
symphony orchestra performance or a fundraising event, these
concerts are an opportunity for the entire community to celebrate
the glory of making music.
